Pokémon HeartGold, SoulSilver Australian and New Zealand Release date?

Our friends over at serebii.net told us of another possible date for Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver this time in Australia and New Zealand.

Nintendo in Australia confirmed that the release date for Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver should be 25th March 2010 which was previously rumoured.

This makes the release date 11 days after the USA release date and 1 day before the UK and European release date (ShafikLight growls)

It is good the English language versions of the games are coming out so close together, rather than the previous 2-3 month gap, lets just hope it sticks this time

Pokémon 5th Generation News and Animé Spoilers!

Not long ago a poster advertising the new movie about promotional stickers had some information at the bottom, when translated said something about 5 new pokémon, it is unknown if they are new forms of pokémon or actual new 5th generation Pokémon but I am sure there will be an update soon and when there is we will report it so stay tuned.

Pokémon SPOILERS! ahead so read at your own peril.

Recently with the new pokémon intro that has appeared we get a glimpse of what pokémon may be aquired by some of the main characters in upcoming episodes first of all Dawn or Hikari seems to be getting a Togekiss as in the new intro it is released alongside her Buneary.
Also when we see Ash's or Satoshi's squad in the intro his Grotle and Monferno appear to have evolved into Torterra and Infernape respectively.
I look forward to seeing these new additions to the main characters and hopefully it will happen sooner rather than later, not like the typical scenario of having Pokémon evolve during the Pokémon League.

Stay tuned for more Animé news tomorrow which will hopefully not be just Pokémon orientated.

Pokémon HeartGold SoulSilver European release date?

A day or so ago the Official Nintendo Magazine in the UK supposedly confirmed the European release date for Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.

It is suppose to be scheduled for March 26th 2010. This date was rumoured before but now it is confirmed by Nintendo in their official magazine it makes me hope and believe this is true, which would be fantastic as its only 12 days behind the scheduled American release date as previously reported upon.

Although there is a however, along with the American release date, it has not yet been confirmed, meaning it may well be likely to change which is very well possible like previous versions like Pokémon emerald (Oh man does ShafikLight have a bad experience of trying to get that game which he will probably share on the podcast sometime).

Even if this date may change for the rest of Europe but stays as reported in the UK, as it is the UK Official Nintendo Magazine that has reported this date, ShafikLight will be very happy as it is not far away and is possibly only 12 days behind the USA release date unlike previous versions (diamond and pearl especially with a several month gap as well as platinum) but would be seriously unfair to the rest of europe, I am pretty sure a similar thing happened with Platinum in Europe where the UK had an earlier date than Europe although I may be mistaken.

Hopefully this date will be the actual release date and if so then it is fantastic as its just over two months away now.

The Future for the Animé Fan Podcast and Blog

After having a long break from the podcast ShafikLight decided to put an update on the blog on what will be happening in the future with both the podcast and the blog.

First of all the podcast will be returning soon to its usual schedule, ShafikLight and Zulshin would have recorded sooner although ShafikLight has been preoccupied with random stuff, also ShafikLight is hopeing to get two other podcasts up and running like the Animé fan podcast which has taken a little bit of ShafikLights time and he would record this week although he has plans with his family so hopefully if nothing else comes up the podcast will return in about a weeks time.

The second thing is that the blog is going to be the main news resource for the Animé fan podcast, so we will hopefully be posting things daily on the blog so that it means readers can get there daily animé news fix and we can read and refer to it for our news section every week in the podcast.

We thank you for all the support you have given us recently and both ShafikLight and Zulshin, and hopefully you too, look forward to the return of the podcast.
Keep checking back to the blog for updates for the podcast and all the animé news you will hopefully ever need. Also just in case you need it here is the link to the podcast where, if you didn't know, you can listen or download straight from the website or subscribe to us with the way you want. http://animefanpodcast.mypodcast.com/

2 Pokémon Updates: HeartGold,Soulsilver and 2010 Movie

Pokémon's official website recently reported the title and release date of the next pokemon movie, Pocket Monster Diamond & Pearl: Genei no Hasha Z, or in English The Phantom Champion Z, on July 10th 2010. Based on the poster artwork it seems to tie in with the current themes of the reinvention of the Pokémon gold and silver games.
On this note there is also an update by amazon.com, they have listed both Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver for a release date of March 14th 2010. This date may not be the official release date for the game in the USA however amazon.com is one of the most reliable for this, so it most likely is, however it is still possible the date could change and that it may be brought forward and hopefully not back however only time will tell and I am sure that we will hear some more news and updates in the new year.
Also the picture of the box confims the pokéwalker gimic which makes it a nice addition to the game as we are finally starting to get alot of what the Japanese are getting.
Unfortunately though still not much sign of a UK and Europe release date but I would imagine when one is announced it will be in May of 2010 which is when we seem to get all the Pokémon versions released.

Kamen Rider fans dispair!

On Friday 11th December Stephen Lunsford, the titular character on Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight, posted on twitter that TV network The CW and 4kids have canceled the show as of 26th December. By that time they will have only aired 38 out of the 40 episodes so it is unknown when and how the remaining two episodes will be shown if at all.
However there is some speculation that it will appear on 4kids website, but don't hold your hopes to high as it is still only speculation. Despite this co-executive producer, Steve Wang, posted on his Facebook page, "that's not to say it won't pop up on a different network in the future".
It is a shame it got cancelled at this stage since D3Publisher just released a Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight video game for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS consoles on 17th November.
Hopefully the remaining two episodes will be seen in some shape or form soon and not get completely cancelled like the last Kamen Rider production done in the USA which was Saban's Masked Rider, in 1995, which was cancelled after only the one season.

Naruto fans rejoice, kinda.

Naruto Unleashed: Series 8 Part 1 was released today in the UK at an average retail price of £24.99. This seems like the perfect gift for naruto fans just in time for christmas, which is what probably spawned its release. Personally the price seems pretty decent for what is meant to be a box set only problem is that it's part 1, so like most of the naruto series you will have to wait another few months till the next part.
